Job Description

Purpose 

Senior Scrum Master acts as a team coach for agile team or multiple teams. Holder of the position is assigned on topics where teams need an expert support to enhance their level of agility and help them tackle complex problems that hinder them in their progress. Senior Scrum Master understands the latest developments in the field of agile methodology. In close interaction with the business Senior Scrum Master is able to choose the right agile approach. Holder of position is an expert and has a broad overview over multiple agile methodologies.

Key accountabilities 

• Leading the scrum team in Servant-leadership style, helps to collaborate and interact, in order to maximize the value delivered by the scrum team.
• Guiding and Coaching the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values .
• Guiding and Coaching the Scrum Team on how to get the most out of self-organization.
• Supporting and coaching the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog.
• Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
• Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments.
• Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
• Monitoring of compliance with project specifications and milestones.
• Independent order processing according to IT-PEP.
• Independent processing of complex, defined development tasks in IT projects.
• Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
• Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and spreading information.
• Optimizing team productivity.

Experience

• 2+ years experience in the planning, organization, monitoring and coordination of projects
• Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM)
• Agile project management – intermediate
• general IT overview – intermediate
• knowledge and experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, build and configuration management – intermediate
• knowledge of Volkswagen standards and procedures for IT development (IT-PEP) and IT support (Application Management Services) – advantage
• knowledge and experience in the field of software development, software solutions and software architecture and broad – advantage
