About the role:

R&D Manager is a member of global T&I (Technology and Innovation) team with responsibility for process and product development and project management.

R&D Manager is a critical function for project execution and team management of T&I work streams. The T&I Manager is responsible for project management and assigned resource utilization (both in project and direct reports in T&I Team) with focus on maintaining the T&I workstream flowing. R&D  Manager contributes to development of business strategy as well as all T&I processes in accordance with legislation and expectation of CvT Senior Manager Team. The function leads the individual and T&I team development.

Your key duties and responsibilities:

  • Design and development of new product, processes, systems and process components including prototypes.
  • Leads R&D (Research and Development) team members to:
  • Design and develop new products / materials or improve existing products / materials in accordance with customer requirements and in compliance with current regulatory requirements and standards following valid SOPs;
  • Develop processes and specifications for new product;
  • Improve of existing processes/products;
  • Ensure the delivery of required documentation to allow smooth transition of processes and design from R&D to manufacturing (design transfer)
  • Project management (including planning, resource utilization and execution) of the entrusted R&D projects.
  • Leads team assignment and projects, establishes strategy for their work and project execution.
  • Support in R&D related decision making for Design Control, Change Control and other processes in R&D competence.

  • Direct reports / team management to meet department and project targets successfully and effectively.
  • Leader for individual and team development of direct reports.
  • Responsible for effective resources utilization within the managed team and /or project.
  • Responsible for assigned project budgets to leverage them effectively.
  • Reports project status to stakeholders, CvT Senior Leadership Team and superior.
  • Review and approval of all documents related to product and process design and their qualification.

About you:

  • Experience with leading of team.
  • Experience for making decisions in an independent way.
  • Experienced professional within product / process development.
  • Experienced / educated in the application of regulatory requirements to medical devices or experienced educated in other area of regulated business, (advantage).
  • Experienced in direct reports management and human resources,
  • Understanding project management tolls and principles.

Education / Qualifications:

  • University, technical degree preferred.
  • Educated in internal design control, change control and another applicable SOP’s and Wis.
  • Experienced Project Manager and leader of direct reports.
  • Communicative level of English language
