About the role:

This position is responsible for managing new manufacturing equipment projects that includes specification of the equipment, tendering, capital planning and execution of the project from design to start of production.

Your key duties and responsibilities as a Technical Project Manager:

  • Development of the equipment specification
  • Obtaining of  good technical knowledge of Convatec’s products, materials & process technologies
  • Management of the capital spending plan
  • Vendor selection and assessment
  • Project management throughout equipment build phases at vendor and validation phases in house
  • Compliance with engineering and EHS standards
  • To support process and know how handover from projects to production
  • Leading the project team through technical reviews with and without supplier and during supplier visits
  • Assurance of the equipment acceptance, transfer, installation and commissioning on situation

About you:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in leading and delivering engineering projects/improvement activities including new product and machine development within manufacturing industry
  • Ability to develop partnerships both within the organization and externally with customers or contractor representatives to deliver new products and machines on time, budget and to the highest quality through effective project management
  • Ability to technically and commercially evaluate vendor proposals for new machines
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to problem solving and can propose and implement technical solutions to process capability and reliability issues

Education / Qualifications:

  • Degree level in Engineering or a relative scientific discipline
  • Communicative level of English language
